At K.L. Steven Company, machine operators perform in-process inspection on the machine using calibrated and qualified inspection instruments. Our machinists are trained in the use and calibration of inspection instruments insuring accurate measurements.

After the machinist produces a conforming part, our Quality Control (Q.C.) department performs a first article inspection to verify the machine operator’s measurments. This audit procedure of the in-process inspection insures high quality parts while reducing the rate of non-conformances. Lowering costs and maintaining delivery schedules is the result of this feedback loop.
