At KL Steven, quality control is integral to all we do, not simply an individual process. From our founder to every machine operator today, quality is and always has been our first and foremost source of pride. Producing parts that conform to your specification is only the start. Our machinists strive to hold narrow tolerance ranges to ensure the best interchangeability of assembly parts as well as parts that present well, with no foreign object damage. We ship parts that you will be proud to present to your customers.

Retention of highly trained employees is key to maintaining high quality standards, and we have been very successful in our efforts to retain our valuable personnel. Our employee longevity averages more than 10 years on the job!

Aircraft Engine Quality:

KL Steven Co. is highly qualified in the area of machined aircraft and missile system parts. KL Steven is proud to be a Vendor Release Supplier to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE). Our Quality Control department has two Designated Supplier Quality Representatives trained and certified by GEAE. Because of this, our quality department releases parts from our plant directly to GEAE assembly, with no inspection on the receiving end (other than statistical sample audits.)

Traceability:

Traceability is crucial in aerospace manufacture. When appropriate, KL Steven Company maintains records that include traceability of metal back to the original raw materials and country of origin. Original mill certificates are kept on file for at least 10 years and in most cases for 25 years. Records on individually numbered lots or serialized parts are archived for at least 25 years. Traceability is one of many areas in which we demonstrate our ability to provide for the special needs of our customers.

All gaging at KL Steven is Traceable to National Standards by means of precision gage block sets, which are OEM inspected and certified each year.
